Shay is a UK-trained clinical psychologist specialised in working with children, adolescents, and families. Her work focuses on supporting neurodivergent individuals, including those with Autism and ADHD, and helping families better understand and navigate developmental, emotional, and behavioural differences.
Shay brings experience across clinical and community settings, including multidisciplinary environments where she has worked closely with educators, caregivers, and other health professionals. Her work includes comprehensive assessment of neurodevelopmental profiles, as well as support for concerns such as anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioural challenges, and adjustment-related stress. She takes a developmental and systemic approach, recognising the broader family, school, and cultural contexts that shape a young person’s experience.
In her clinical practice, Shay uses an integrative, evidence-based approach. She draws from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), parenting-based interventions, and neuro-affirming frameworks to tailor therapy to each child and family. Her work is collaborative and flexible, aiming to meet clients where they are while building practical tools for emotional understanding, communication, and day-to-day functioning. She places strong emphasis on creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment.
Alongside direct therapy, Shay works closely with parents and caregivers, offering guidance and strategies that extend beyond sessions. She believes in empowering families with the insight and skills needed to support their child’s development in a sustainable and compassionate way.
Shay is committed to providing culturally sensitive, neuro-affirming care that respects each family’s values and lived experiences, while remaining grounded in current psychological research and best practices.
